Rockabye Bucktown

I’m clearly not attending an office holiday party of my own this year (unless you count the multiple chardonnay-infused evenings at the B house this month spent watching Christmas movies wearing reindeer pajamas - that is my idea of a holiday party!), but that doesn’t deter me from putting together what I would wear!

This LBD from Pleasure Doing Business is classic, but not too conservative and pairs well with either the black and white blazer for more of a menswear inspired look.  The cobalt blue renders a twist on the traditional tweed jacket seen in many offices across this city (my former self can attest). 

If only these refined looks came with a raise…

I know I hated on scuba pants a few weeks ago, but I need to modify that statement. Check out these scuba dresses from Cynthia Rowley! I may have bought one at FNO last week…it was such a fun party! New Fall arrivals, champy and a very talented hair stylist that showed me how to curl my hair correctly (I’m not so good with the hair). Those girls at the Damen store are crazy nice…

These bonded dresses are super comfortable, flattering on most body types and definitely versatile. I intend to wear mine now with fun summer sandals (and bare legs) and with colored tights and pumps or boots in the cooler months. No oxygen tank or goggles necessary.
