This week…

Really into:

  • Fresh new floral accessories for Spring (shown: Alexander McQueen clutch and J Crew necklace)
  • Book/Food/Wine Club with some lovely ladies (and trying the dessert menu at Boarding House).  Jammy Zinfandel + Savory Jamon Serrano + Sweet Sugar Pie + Laughing with some gals on a Tuesday evening = a good time
  • Phillip Lim’s new floral prints
  • The Liberty for AG Jeans line.  It’s coming next month, but I’ve been loving the glimpses I’ve seen thus far.  Just a hint of feminine without being too girly…you know, to add to my growing collection of printed pants/denim
  • Homeland!  I know I’m probably the last person on earth to watch this show, but I feel like every good show I’ve gotten hooked on has ended!  I was hesitant to start watching, but am kicking myself now.  It’s good, guys.  Don’t tell me what happens this season yet…
  • Bobbi Brown long-wear cream shadow sticks.  These guys are little miracles!  Easy to apply and smudge for the desired look.  Plus, they actually stay on!
  • A new class at Sprout for Little B called Sproutlets! Each 45 minute parent/child class focuses on a hands-on project. Everything from learning their ABC’s and 123’s to creating artwork based on fun children’s books.  Maybe we’ll see you there, moms and tots?
  • Completing the Bar Method 5/5 Challenge.  There were some weeks where the last thing I wanted to do was go to class, but I did and my tush and triceps thank me (especially trying on aforementioned Spring attire…)

Not so into:

  • Beanies.  Honestly, I don’t get them.  I know it’s cold and we all need fashionable head gear, but these are just fugly.

One of my “goals” for 2013 is to simplify my wardrobe. Mostly black and white (basic neutrals) with small pops of color. It will be so much easier to get dressed in the morning and everything will match! I started (early) today with my new Alexander McQueen scarf (courtesy of Santa) paired with a fitted black leather jacket. Of course, I am also sporting mustard yellow denim, so let’s see how long this lasts…
