See this little guy? Sitting so patient and intently listening to his music instructor? Don’t let him fool you - he is on the move! He had us convinced he was a calm child until he turned eight months. Then everything changed! If he sees it, he wants it. Now. He crawls with fury across the living room floor to attack toys, iPads, shoes, whatever has caught his eye. He loves to pull on wires (that we thought were hidden). He pulls up rugs to uncover what is underneath. He finds ways to open cabinets. He especially loves ripping apart magazines.
But you know what? It’s so entertaining! Sometimes my husband and I will actually sit on the couch and watch him at work (until he gets into something dangerous, of course). We love his inquisitive mind and determination (he certainly does not tire easily). Then, he catches us watching and goes into full on Regis Philbin mode and does everything short of hula-hooping to make us laugh. And it works.
Now back to baby-proofing…
